Adam Lavine, Co-founder and CEO, FunMobility
Adam Lavine is co-founder and CEO of FunMobility, a veteran mobile entertainment company. FunMobility manages over 50 services for all U.S. carriers including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Metro PCS, Cricket and Boost. FunMobility is pleased to announce the new FunMail Visual Messaging Platform at this conference.
Alex Jin-Sung Choi, VP Mobile Communication Technology Lab, LG Electronics
After the graduation of Seoul National University, Seoul Korea, he joined LG Information & Communication., Ltd in 1987. He worked for the development of Electronic Switching System during 1987-1988. Then he pursued his Ph.D at University of Southern California USA. After Ph.D, he rejoined LG Electronics where now became vice president and the head of mobile communication technology research center.
His research interests are mobile and cellular networks, IP QOS, Mobile Broadband and beyond, All IP mobile networks, mobile Internet, 4G and others. One of his major achievements was UMTS Access system development in 2001. In addition, he has been actively participated in IMT-2000 & 4G global standardization activity ever since 3GPP global standard body was established. He regularly attends 3GPP, 3GPP2, OMA and IEEE global mobile standard meetings as a head representative of LG Electronics. He is also a member of TTA, the official standard development organization in Korea. He chaired IMT-2000 & 4G Project Group in TTA from 2002 till 2007. He is also a board member of OMA, Open Mobile Alliance and an associate member of NGMN, Next Generation Mobile Network where he actively participates into various working groups. He is now in charge of LTE technology development.
Anil Dharni, Co-founder, Storm8
Anil Dharni is the Co-Founder of Storm8, the #1 MMO iPhone company. Storm8 has 7 titles on the App Store with each title reaching top 10. Prior to Storm8, Anil was the VP of Products and UED at hi5 Networks, Inc., where he drove the product roadmap and key product initiatives like hi5 coins (virtual currency), games, and platform. He has served in product management roles at Yahoo! and held consulting and engineering roles at Wipro, Ariba, and Engineering Animation. Anil holds a B.E. in aeronautical engineering from Punjab University and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Antti Ohrling, Co-founder, Blyk
Antti is co-founder of Blyk and he has over 25 years experience as a senior manager in branded goods, retail and wholesale, media and advertising industries.
He is also the chairman of Contra Asia, an advertising agency specializing in social media and mobile environments, based in Beijing. He acts as a senior consultant in Ohrling Limited, a consultancy group specializing in innovative strategy implementations and challenging go-to-market projects.
Antti was founder of Contra Advertising Group, which since spring 2009 is part of Touch Worldwide.
Antti is a regular at lectures on innovative business models, social media marketing and brand issues for international audiences.
Arturo Pereyra, Director, Oracle
Arturo Pereyra leads marketing and business development for Oracle's Media and Telecom applications solutions. Mr. Pereyra has over 15 years experience in the hi-technology and telecommunications industries. Mr. Pereyra's experience also includes leading worldwide marketing activities for HP's Emerging Markets Group and was a co-founder for a venture-backed wireless company. Prior to this, Mr. Pereyra was an Associate with Booz Allen & Hamilton, based in New York, and worked in the Marketing and Multi-media practice.
Bart Decrem, Co-founder, CEO, Tapulous
Bart Decrem is a co-founder and CEO of Tapulous, a Palo Alto-based startup building fun and social apps for the iPhone, including the wildly successful rhythm game Tap Tap Revenge. Previously, Bart was the founding CEO of Flock, the social web browser company, and a co-founder of Eazel, a company working to make Linux easier to use. Bart also headed marketing and business affairs for the Firefox 1.0 launch. In between, Bart has been an Entrepreneur In Residence at Doll Capital Management and worked on a number of community projects. Bart was born and raised in Belgium, holds a JD from Stanford Law School and was featured as one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business in May of 2009.
Bernard Gershon, President, Gershon Media

Bernard Gershon was formally senior vice president and general manager, digital media, at The Walt Disney Company. In this role, he was responsible for developing revenue opportunities and distributing Disney/ABC content to all digital media platforms including broadband, wireless, cable, IPTV and VOD.
Brandon Lucas, VP and GM Mobile, BET
Brandon Lucas is a mobile industry veteran with relevant experience in Japan, Europe and the United States. In his current role as VP and GM of BET Mobile, Brandon is responsible for driving the wireless business, strategy and partnerships for BET Networks, the leading provider of media and entertainment for African Americans and consumers of Black culture. Prior to joining BET Networks, Brandon ran mobile business development for MySpace, where in two years he built partnerships with U.S. wireless carriers, device manufacturers, SMS aggregators and ad networks. Before MySpace, Brandon held mobile business development positions with the Walt Disney Company and U.S. Cellular. He received a BA from Harvard University and an International MBA from the University of Chicago. He currently lives in Los Angeles and is an avid outdoor adventurer.

Christa Quarles, Managing Director, Equity Research, Thomas Weisel Partners

Christopher David, VP Partner Engagement, Sony Ericsson
Christopher David is the Head of Developer and Partner Engagement. He is responsible for driving and communicating Sony Ericsson's renewed developer strategy in terms of their multi platform approach, as well as articulating the relevance of content development to developer and partner, and 'prosumer' communities.
His deep knowledge and understanding of the telecoms industry stem from 19 Years' experience in various engineering, sales and technologist roles. Cole Brodman, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, T-Mobile
Cole Brodman is currently Senior Vice President of Product Development and Chief Technology and Innovation Officer for T-Mobile USA. Mr. Brodman has been with T-Mobile and its predecessor companies, VoiceStream Wireless and Western Wireless, for more than 13 years. In his current capacity, Mr. Brodman is responsible for ideation, development and operations of new products, services, mobile phones and devices. Additionally, he is responsible for the evolution of T-Mobile’s network and technology base, as well as the national engineering of the core systems that run T-Mobile’s wireless network.
Dag Kittlaus, Co-founder and CEO, Siri
Siri's CEO is Dag Kittlaus, who founded the company as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at SRI. A serial innovator and consumer wireless internet veteran of 10 years in Scandinavia and the US, Dag is working on creating his third consecutive mobile internet product with over a million users.
Dag has held leadership roles as VP of Consumer Internet Services at Scandinavian telecom giant Telenor Mobile, and several consumer product groups at Motorola including GM of xProducts and founder and GM of Motorola's Interactive Media Group. He conceived and launched Screen3, a breakthrough consumer mobile application currently used by millions of users and adopted by Cingular, China Mobile, and Telefonica.
Dan Ford, Vice President, Oracle Communications
Dan Ford leads global marketing for Oracle Communications. Prior to joining Oracle, Dan ran marketing for Rearden Commerce and led Siebel Systems’ Communications, Media & Energy industry business unit. David Rivas, Vice President, Devices, R&D, Nokia
David Rivas is Vice President Architecture & Technology and is responsible for driving Nokia's software technology agenda in Nokia's R&D Unit. In addition, he is closely involved with many Nokia partnerships, including the Symbian Foundation and recently announced partnership with Microsoft. Diana Pouliot, Group Manager Android Mobile Platforms, Google Inc.
Diana oversees all of Google's mobile advertising efforts for the America's working closely with the mobile product team and mobile strategic partnership team. Prior to joining Google in 2001, Diana worked at Internet Appliance Network developing device and application advertising for Virgin Music. Earlier, she worked in the consumer publishing group at Ziff-Davis, and began her career at IBM ..
Eric Chu, Group Manager Android Mobile Platforms, Google
Eric Chu is responsible for driving the Android ecosystem at Google. In addition to working with members of the Open Handset Alliance, Eric also leads various Android developer initiatives within Google, including Android Market. Prior to joining Google, Eric was the CMO for Aplix, a leading supplier of mobile middleware in handsets.
Eric also spent 10 years at Sun, driving Java ME business and marketing as one of the key contributors that grew the Java mobile ecosystem to over 1 billion devices.
Fabrizio Capobianco, CEO, Funambol

Fabrizio is a serial entreprenuer with extensive experience in the mobile industry. He is an accomplished blogger about wireless and holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Pavia.
Frank Meehan, CEO, INQ Mobile
Frank founded INQ Mobile in 2007 to bring high function, low cost mobile handsets to the mass market. Frank has been with Hutchison since March 2001. Before founding INQ, he was General Manager of 3G Handsets and Applications for Hutchinson Whampoa. In that role he procured 10 million handsets annually for all of the Hutchison 3G companies. When Frank first joined Hutchison Whampoa, he worked on the engineering integration of the 3 UK 3G mobile network, the first outside Japan. After that successful network launch, he was asked to develop and launch Hutchison’s open mobile internet proposition, X-Series, for all 3G operations, as well as manage the company’s key application partners such as Google, Skype, Microsoft, Sling, Novarra, Orb and others.
Gaurav Garg, Partner, Sequoia Capital
Gaurav is a venture capitalist at Sequoia Capital focusing on systems and services investments. Prior to joining sequoia capital in 2001, Gaurav was a founder and senior vice-president of product management at Redback networks (RBAK). Earlier, Gaurav held various engineering positions at Synoptics and Bay Networks. Gene Keenan, VP Mobile, Isobar
Gene Keenan leads the cutting edge of marketing innovation as Isobar's VP of Mobile Services. In this role, Gene has won numerous Aegis Globe awards for his innovation and has been the recipient of industry awards including an MSNEMMY for his work on Adidas.
Gene is on the board of the Mobile Marketing Association who also counts as board members these major brands: P&G, VISA, AOL, CBS, ESPN, FOX, Microsoft, and every major carrier in the USA. He co-chairs the metrics committee of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) and guided the creation, funding, and execution of the first marketing effectiveness study on behalf of the MMA. Before joining the interactive space Gene was a professional chef who toured with the Grateful Dead for eight years and owned an organic edible flower and herb farm.
Glenn Lurie, President - Emerging Devices and National Resale, AT&T
Glenn Lurie is president of Emerging Devices and Resale for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. Lurie leads AT&T’s strategic initiative to drive innovation in bringing wireless connectivity to a host of new devices and applications — including personal computers, internet devices, in-car entertainment and navigation systems, cameras, and machine-to-machine communications solutions.
Lurie also led negotiations with Apple Inc. in bringing the iPhone to AT&T and continues to have responsibilities for the Apple operations. In addition, Lurie has responsibility for National Resale relationships.
Glenn joined the former AT&T Wireless in 1990, and held several sales, marketing and operation positions throughout his tenure. As senior vice president-West Region, he was responsible for the market operations in ten western states, representing more than 40 percent of the company's overall business.
Prior to leading the company’s market operations in the west, Lurie held senior executive positions including Regional Vice President for the California/Hawaii region and Vice President and General Manager for Los Angeles after advancing from a similar position for Arizona.
Prior to coming to the wireless industry, Lurie was a professional soccer player for teams representing Cleveland, Atlanta and Portland.
Lurie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Marketing from Seattle Pacific University.
Gregory Rosston, Deputy Director, Public Policy Program, Stanford University
Gregory Rosston is Deputy Director of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and Deputy Director of the Public Policy program at Stanford University where he teaches courses on competition policy and strategy, intellectual property, and writing and rhetoric. Dr. Rosston served as Deputy Chief Economist at the FCC working on the implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and spectrum auctions. He co-chaired the Economy, Globalization and Trade committee for the Obama campaign and was a member of the Obama transition team focusing on economic agency review and energy policy.

Hope F. Cochran, SVP Finance, Clearwire
Ms Cochran has been responsible for the company’s finance, financial planning and strategy, and global treasury and cash management activities since 2005. Prior to Clearwire Ms. Cochran served as chief financial officer of Evant Incorporated, Controller of the Americas – Sales Operations for PeopleSoft Inc. Hossein Moiin is the mobility fellow in BT Design where he is responsible for the mobile architecture of the BT group and its mobility strategy. Prior to his current role Hossein Moiin was the group vice president for technical strategy at T-Mobile, International where he led the development of the Next Generation of Mobile Networks, an industry-wide initiative that sets the future vision of the mobile industry.. Before joining T-Mobile, Dr. Moiin worked for Sun Microsystems in US and Europe to develop strategic platforms for telecommunication and financial sectors. Dr. Moiin has over twenty years of experience in the ICT industries and holds a Ph. D. from University of California in Computer Engineering.
Ilja Laurs, Founder and CEO, GetJar

Jahangir Mohammed, CEO, Jasper Wireless
Jahangir founded Jasper Wireless in 2004 and serves as the company’s chief executive officer.
Prior to founding Jasper Wireless, Jahangir served as the CEO of Kineto Wireless, a company he founded. Kineto pioneered the convergence of WiFi and Cellular technologies. Kineto’s technology has become a world standard which has been deployed by GSM carriers in numerous countries. He continues to serve on the Board of Kineto.
Previously, Jahangir worked on a variety of engineering management and product development roles at Philips, AT&T Bell laboratories and Nortel.
James Tagg, Founder and CTO, Truphone
James Tagg is a hi-tech success story, habitually and successfully bringing new mobile telephony and other technologies to market. Prior to Truphone, as managing director of Fastmobile Europe, he launched both mobile instant messaging and push-to-talk with carriers in Germany, Italy and the UK. Earlier in his career he invented touch-screen technology, found today in most of the world’s public access touch screens. He founded Moonstone Technology in 1989 to develop it, and sold the company to MicroTouch Systems Ltd - now 3M - in 1994.
Dr. Jan Uddenfeldt, SVP and Sr. Advisor to CEO, Ericsson Group
Dr. Jan Uddenfeldt has been with Ericsson since 1978, in a number of roles, including Chief Technology Officer (1998-2004), VP R&D (1990-1998) and Head of Research (1985).

Jeff Belk, Principal, ICT168 Capital
Jeffrey Belk is a principal in ICT168 Capital, LLC, focused on developing global growth opportunities in the Information and Communication Technology space. Formerly, Belk spent almost 14 years at Qualcomm, where prior to his departure in early 2008, he was SVP of strategy and market development.

Jim Ryan, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Motricity
Jim Ryan is widely recognized as a pioneer in the mobile data industry, with more than 15 years of experience across the globe specifically where he grew consumer data services for AT&T Mobility from $250M to over $4B in three years. Mr. Ryan currently serves as the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer at Motricity, the leader in mobile Internet solutions. Joan Marsh, Vice President, Federal Regulatory, AT&T
Joan Marsh is Vice President of Federal Regulatory Affairs for AT&T in Washington, D.C. where she has represented AT&T since 1999. In her current role, Ms. Marsh is responsible for managing AT&T’s wireless and public safety/national security interests before federal regulatory authorities, including the Federal Communications Commission. From 1997 to 1999, Ms. Marsh served as Senior Regional Attorney for AT&T in its Chicago offices representing AT&T before various state public utilities commissions in the Midwest.
Prior to joining AT&T, Ms. Marsh spent five years as a trial litigator with the Chicago firm of Kirkland & Ellis. Prior to that position, Ms. Marsh was a law clerk for the Honorable Edward Rafeedie of the US District Court for Central District of California, Los Angeles. She received a J.D. with Honors from the University of Southern California Law Center in Los Angeles in 1990 and a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1986.
Joe Sims, Advisor and Board Member, Independent
